Motion

Precise, calm, spatial.

Motion comes from the visual language: lines draw, planes slide, masks reveal, numbers count, cuts land on the beat. Nothing moves unless it reveals information or structure — and everything settles quickly so the footage can breathe.

Vocabulary — nine verbs

These are the only movements MSPACEZ uses. Most videos need two or three of them.
Draw A line extends along its axis from a start tick.
Dimension lines, rules, progress, underline of a keyword
Meet with confidence.
Reveal Text rises 20 px from behind its own baseline mask.
Hooks, headlines, lower-third text
↑
Slide A plane moves along the grid, never diagonal.
Lower-third plates, end-card planes, panels
Mask An image opens from a rectangle or a line.
Image-to-image, photo modules, covers
Cut Hard cut on the beat. The default transition.
Every edit unless a reason exists
3,500
Count Numerals count up in tabular figures and stop.
Statistics, prices (real ones only)
→
Expand The marker grows into a plate or line.
Lower thirds, chips, sting
Crop A slow push or crop-in ≤ 5% over 3–5 s.
Space shots, stills in video
Screen · 65″
Track A chip or line follows a point in the shot.
Specialist: pointing at a room, a door, a screen

Timing hierarchy

Related, not identical: durations scale with the size and importance of what moves. Exits take ~60% of the entry time. Tested at 30 fps; at 25 fps round to the nearest frame.

Sound and motion

Keep sound minimal and refined. Voice first, room tone second, music third. A custom MSPACEZ sonic logo is flagged as a future owner asset — none is invented here.

Principle
Motion reveals information.
Rule
Nine verbs, the timing hierarchy and one thing moving at a time. The footage leads; graphics arrive, say one thing, and leave.
When to use
Reels, ads, video, presentations, web micro-interactions.
When not to use
Static posts exported as GIFs; animating decoration.
Do
  • Cut more than you transition
  • Let each graphic settle before the next moves
  • Respect reduced-motion settings in digital
Don’t
  • Animate every element
  • Random transition packs
  • Motion that delays the hook
